Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on Social Media lead to drive innovation across our social channels. The Social Media Lead will be responsible for campaigns across all of S&P Data Digital social channels. Passion and curiosity about social media are essential for this position. The ideal candidate will use data to help inform behavior, come with a creative eye, and collaborate across the organization to serve various brand and content strategy objectives.
The Social Media Lead will be responsible for daily Organic/Paid campaigns, monitoring, and engaging with our community. This role will report directly to the Chief Revenue Office, while working closely with marketing, product, and content production to build an effective social media strategy.
As the Social Media Lead, you’ll execute the strategy and management of all social media channels for the brand. You will cohesively manage our company persona to achieve our marketing and community goals. As a Social Media Manager, you are up to date with the latest platforms and social media trends and keep a tight pulse on current events. You understand the importance of cultural relevance —and you know how to bring it to life.
This role is for someone who desires to lead, shape, and drive audience awareness and engagement for a growing company. We are looking for equal parts analytical and creative, with a passion for disrupting categories and driving consumer value.
What You’ll Do
Oversee and execute social media strategies, guidelines, best practices, promotional campaigns, and day-to-day activities while optimizing and monetizing the brand’s presence on YouTube, TikTok, FB/IG, Twitter, and other relevant social media platforms
Manage and execute S&P Data Digital’s social strategy across owned social channels
Participate in development and execution against our social content calendar
Cross-functionally develop social media plans for all company projects, products, launches, and initiatives
Oversee all day-to-day brand postings across all of S&P Data Digital social media platforms
Monitor and engage with followers, customers, and ambassadors on S&P Data Digital social media platform and community channels, including answering DMs and comments and proactively flagging opportunities for brand-building responses
Identify success metrics and develop reporting to inform strategy
Monitor and research industry trends and culturally relevant moments to push forward social media effort
Ensure there is on-brand messaging across all social media channels
Analyze effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media efforts to determine campaign effectiveness through relevant monitoring tools
Understand and evolve the voice of the S&P Data Digital brand
Establish and foster relationships with online influencers
Stay abreast of key industry trends, competitive insights, emerging social media/marketing/e-commerce technologies, benchmark and research competitors, and industry leaders in social media. Constantly explore and evaluate new social platforms, tools, services, and vendors and provide recommendations
Ensure that social campaigns are aligned within the larger content strategy initiatives
Develop and execute strategy for social media platforms while continually evolving and adjusting content to meet and/or exceed metrics targets, including but not limited to engagement, follower growth, impressions, reach, site traffic, revenue,
Collaborate with the Content team on organic social pillars and overall content to drive engagement and performance
Identify opportunities for streamlining social media content production; leverage tools and freelance support to maximize team efficiency and diversify our creative
What You Need
Must have passion for all things related to social media
3-5 years social media experience (planning & buying); strong knowledge of all social
Fluency with social media platforms, networks, and tools to ensure deliverables are met against defined business
Analyze campaign performance on a daily basis
Identify growth opportunities such as the development of tools and procedures to increase efficiency within the
Knowledge of QA-ing pixels and tags
Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
Resourceful self-starter, with a can-do attitude that thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
Strategic thinker willing to push the envelope and bring fresh, innovative ideas to life
Works well under pressure and can meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of accountability
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
Analytical mindset and ability to identify data-driven insights
High level of proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, Google Analytics
Ability to navigate, collaborate and influence cross-functional partners
Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail, bias for action, and organization
Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
BA degree required
