Tier 1 Technical Support Specialist

SP Data Digital is looking to add to its Canadian Technical Support Specialists team for a premium home security system client. If you have any form of technical support experience, especially working in a call center, take a look below at this exciting opportunity!  

Your typical day at work: 

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be the first line of technical assistance for home security services. You will be:  

  • Answering incoming and placing outbound calls to existing customers to help answer technical assistance questions and provide solutions for a major home security company 
  • Troubleshooting company products and services; enhancing the customer experience through excellent communication of complex situations and solutions. 
  • Use systems to dispatch a technician if necessary 

 What WE offer YOU: 

  • Base wage: USD $15.00/Hr  // CDN $16.50/Hr (BC residents $16.75 / Ontario residents $17.05)

Qualifications:  

  • A minimum of 3-6 months of technical customer service experience  
  • Must possess a strong ability to interact with customers remotely in order to negotiate spending time on the phone, working through the alarm issue remotely vs. receiving service within the home or business 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to empathize with customers, breaking down complex problems into understandable/common terms is also necessary 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Technical aptitude, problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple items at once

 Important Details: 

  • Fully Remote Position – Must reside in and be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Must have open availability to work between 2:00pm – Midnight EST Monday - Sunday, as per business needs (split days off)
  • Immediate start dates  
  • Must have a personal Windows 10/11 computer that you can use for work. It must be able to connect directly to a modem with an Ethernet cable, minimum 8 GB available RAM, minimum internet speeds of 30 download and 10 upload
