The Role
S&P Data is looking for a creative individual with a drive for innovation and a passion for sales and marketing to join our Marketing team. This position is located in Toronto, Ontario (Yonge and Davisville) and is a 3-month summer internship.

The ideal candidate contributes to the customer success strategy and supports planning, development and implementation for all of S&P Data’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, client fulfillment, social media asset management and public relations activities.

Key Skills:

  • Supporting, creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communication, social media and public relations activities that will enhance S&P Data’s brand, image and position within the marketplace - including: all marketing, communications, social media, digital, Omni-Channel and public relations activities and materials
  • Create and optimize social communication campaigns using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms
  • Implement initiatives to increase follower base across multiple social media platforms
  • Collaborates across S&P Data to support developing and delivering on all aspects of the customer success strategy
  • Leads and supports all client facing communication and marketing material fulfillment related to day to day prospecting, sales and client services
  • Measures and reports performance of social marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI, engagement and other KPI’s
  • Develop an e-library capable of storing, retrieving, disseminating all customer facing marketing, branding and creative materials (i.e. including whitepapers, case studies and sales support materials)
  • Supports Director Client Services with fulfillment materials in support of all client success projects (QBR, reviews, ad hoc reporting and expansions)
  • Ensure S&P Data’s desired image and market position is consistent with all marketing materials, communications, social media and PR assets
  • Conduct relevant market research, client surveys and monitor general industry trends with a view to continuous improvement and strategy enhancement
  • Identify, recommend and manage short term and lon term objectives for the marketing and communications function and general customer success strategy
  • Work with all levels of staff to maintain the right culture and strategic perspective, formulate policies and maintain relevant S&P Data priorities
  • Assist with projects and other duties as requested or assigned


Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum completion of 1st or 2nd year of a Marketing / Social Media / Public relations and communications program at a recognized college or University
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of strategic marketing, communications, social media and public relations.
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational skills, together with a general working knowledge of sales and business development practices
  • Experience preparing client facing presentations, writing internal and external communications
  • Maintains a ‘problem solver’ and ‘continuous improvement’ mindset
  • Ability to work with shared leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, acts with high sense of urgency with an acute attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
